Hi, I'm Carlos Amaro
A developer
About Me
I build scalable and accessible web solutions that help teams deliver faster and provide better user experiences!
I have five years of experience working in the industry. I have participated in the development of production-ready web systems for international clients, including projects in the pharmaceutical sector associated with companies such as Merck and Novartis.
Over the past nine months, I have collaborated with Inetum and Slalom for the client First Dollar, contributing to the development of their Health Wallet Manager. In this project, my focus has been on strengthening the user interface and business logic of a health-oriented financial product, ensuring a robust and highly functional experience.
My career has included the creation of reusable frontend components, optimized for accessibility and search engines, and compliant with strict standards required by applications related to products such as Keytruda.

I have worked on the development of:
- Web systems
- Static websites
- Dynamic websites
- Storybooks

All my projects are fully hosted on my own VPS, including this portfolio, its Storybook, and sites such as: soultech.studio and compras.eduba.lat.
I manage the complete end-to-end deployment lifecycle:
- NGINX reverse proxying
- HTTPS via Certbot (Let’s Encrypt)
- firewall hardening
- service isolation.
- Application servers (Next.js and Node services) are bound to localhost and exposed exclusively through NGINX,
- static assets such as Storybook and Web Component-based UIs CDN , are built and deployed separately.
My Beginnings
I started programming at the age of 16 back in 2006 during high school, learning to code using:
Pascal, Visual C, HTML, and MySQL
At that time, I managed to create a static website using HTML and embed an image carousel that I learned from MySpace 🫂
Back then, I was not aware of the scale the software industry would eventually reach. Life took me down different paths until, in 2013, I formally resumed my studies upon entering to the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Professional Education
I entered university with a clear goal: to become a programmer.
During my university education, which was well-rounded and comprehensive, I was able to develop a wide range of skills that have undoubtedly supported my professional career.
I spent countless hours learning the knowledge demanded by the industry until, in mid-2020 during the pandemic, I landed my first job.
I never stop learning—there is always something new to explore, and I truly enjoy that.
My curiosity led me to study RFC, a topic I continue to explore.

Steam Engineering and Boilers
A project I worked on independently. In this case, the client needed a website for their business, so we created a site with a design that suited their needs. We also configured email with the domain of their website.

Storybook — Design System & UI Components
A public Storybook showcasing reusable, production-ready UI components built and maintained by me. It serves as a living design system, documenting component behavior, states, and is fully self-hosted in a sub-domain as part of my production infrastructure.
